Tapestry Cushion Cover of the Queen

49,00

This collection is inspired by a brocaded white-ground lampas that once adorned Marie-Antoinette’s summer bedchamber.

During the Revolution, the furnishings of the Palace of Versailles were sold at auction. Some pieces were later recovered, while others were replaced with equivalents.

The fabrics that lined the bed and walls of the Queen’s Bedchamber were rewoven in Lyon, using the original patterns and based on a design attributed to Jean-François Bony between 1786 and 1787.
