Beautiful book

The Palace of Versailles from the sky

This beautiful book portrays the Versailles Estate, already widely photographed, from an unprecedented angle.

For the first time, a photographer is allowed to fly over the Palace, revealing its best-kept secret for four centuries: its extraordinary beauty from the sky!

THE AUTHOR AND PHOTOGRAPHER

As a photographer at the Palace of Versailles for over ten years, Thomas Garnier has produced 5,000 photographs of the estate every year, the result of his daily work on the ground.

For this book, he has selected 200 shots, each accompanied by a text on the history of the Palace. As the seasons and the light change, the buildings, groves and flowerbeds take on a new look, revealing the creative genius of Louis XIV. Indeed, the estate seems to have been designed to be admired from the sky. These general views sublimate both the immensity of the estate and the perfect geometry of the French gardens. This beautiful book takes a fresh look at the architecture and gardens of the Palace of Versailles.

"It's as if Versailles was designed to be seen from the sky."

DEDICATED PRINTS
