The Trianon honey
2025 harvest
20,00 €
Discover the honey from the 2025 harvest: a floral honey with a strong, intense, and fragrant character. Mainly sourced from chestnut trees, it combines minty and woody notes, subtly enriched by the estate’s many flowers. Produced by black bees from Île-de-France, this honey is fully in line with the environmental approach of the Palace of Versailles and contributes to the preservation of local biodiversity.
This harvest also reflects the rich vegetation of the Trianon estate, a haven of peace created by Louis XIV and enriched over the centuries.
Since 2019, twelve beehives have been installed in the heart of the Trianon estate, in the Queen’s Kitchen Garden, in order to further the environmental knowledge of the Palace of Versailles.

Below the Château gardens, Louis XIV began work on a vast estate reserved for his personal use: Trianon. In turn, Louis XV, Marie-Antoinette, and then Napoleon I left their mark on this peaceful rural haven.
In line with the garden management plan, measures to preserve pollinators and biodiversity have been in place for several years. As a result, there are now 12 beehives at the Trianon estate.
