The Trianon honey
2024 harvest
20,00 €
Since 2019, the Palace of Versailles has installed twelve beehives within the Trianon estate, in the Potager de la Reine. Today, you can taste the honey from the 2024 harvest: sweet, mild, fresh and floral! Produced by Ile-de-France black bees, a local breed of bee, this honey continues the Palace’s environmental approach and contributes to the preservation of local species and biodiversity.
This honey, with its golden, crystallized hue, blends notes of lime blossom and wild flowers with a hint of chestnut and bramble in the background, perfectly complementing the fresh, minty overtones.

Below the gardens of the Palace, Louis XIV created a wide estate dedicated to his private use: Trianon. In turn, Louis XV, Marie-Antoinette and then Napoleon I left their mark on this peaceful rural paradise.
In line with the garden management plan, actions to preserve pollinators and biodiversity have been carried out for several years. 12 beehives are now present at the Trianon Estate.
