This notebook is made of cooked paper and decorated with Marie-Antoinette’s monogram.

The monogram is composed of two intertwined letters, forming a refined interlace.

This motif, often crowned or adorned with fleurs-de-lis, reflects both the nobility of her rank and the refined taste of the 18th century.

It can be found engraved on objets d’art, textiles, porcelain and architecture, notably in the decor of the Petit Trianon in Versailles, the Queen’s favourite residence.
