This statue is a miniature version of the bronze statue on the Place d’Armes at Versailles, designed by Pierre Cartellier.

Commissioned by Louis-Philippe and installed in 1836 by the architect Frédéric Nepveu, the original of this statue consists of two independent bronze sculptures, the horse sculpted by Pierre Cartellier and the rider made by Louis-Messidor Petitot.

The reproduction was manufactured according to the same procedure, that is to say in two separate sculptures then assembled together. The main material is the resin. The sword and its sheath are made out of metal.
