Honey from Trianon: sweet, soft, fresh and floral!

Lime – Bramble – Chestnut – Hawthorn – Elder – Maple – Roses – Wild meadow flowers.

Below the gardens of the Palace, Louis XIV began work on a vast estate reserved for his personal use: Trianon. In turn, Louis XV, Marie-Antoinette and Napoleon I left their mark on this haven of rural peace.

In line with the garden management plan, actions to preserve pollinators and biodiversity have been carried out for several years. As a result, 12 beehives are now present at the Domaine de Trianon.

Honey from Marly: sweet, strong, liquid and licorious.

Chestnut – Bramble – Lime – Broad Bean – Maple – Horse Chestnut – Ivy – meadow wildflowers.

In 1678, Louis XIV chose the village of Marly to create his new private estate. A secret, private place accessible only to a select few, Marly became a residence of entertainment, festivities and relaxation. The mysterious allure of the place continued to contribute to its renown throughout the reign of its creator.

The Domaine de Marly has been managed by the Etablissement de Public de Versailles since 2009, marking the attachment of this highly historic and symbolic site to the Domaine de Versailles, three hundred and fifty years after its creation by Louis XIV.

"These hives will be used to analyze pollen diversity, the dynamics of flowering on the estate and the food sufficiency of bees, the main pollinators.
