The Orangery of Louis XIV
This kit contains a strip of aida cloth, coloured cotton threads, a needle, a leaflet of instructions, a paper prick and stitch pattern and a delightful light green pompon.
This page-markers illustrates the parterre of the Orangery of the Château de Versailles laid out by Jules Hardouin-Mansart between 1684 and 1686. It covers three hectares and is made up of four lawns and a circular pond. In summer it hosts 1,055 trees in crates, including palm trees, oleanders, and orange trees.
