"Let the show begin".
This fabric theatre includes five finger puppets: a kind green dragon with big wings, a pretty pink princess and three Charles Perrault characters: Little Red Riding Hood, Grandma and the Big Bad Wolf. The theatre is easy to carry and the puppets come in a big transparent sleeve with colourful handles. It won the 2009-2010 best toy prize awarded by the IAAPA (International Association of Amusement Parks and Attraction). The puppets are machine-washable at 30°. The theatre can be cleaned with a damp cloth.
Pierre Datelin, also known as Jean Brioché, was a tooth-puller before winning fame as a puppeteer by opening the first marionette theatres at the Saint-Laurent and Saint-Germain fairs in Paris around 1650. His son Fanchon took them over after he retired. Meanwhile, Charles Perrault (1628-1703) transcribed the Mother Goose tales, which had been passed down by oral tradition, for the first time in France in 1697.
