This bag is part of a limited series made from banners of the exhibition “Versailles and the American Revolution”. Hand-picked and cut, each piece in this collection is unique.

Made entirely from recycled materials, it has a large outer zipped pocket, a solid inner lining with a semi-rigid bottom and two handles made from safety belts. The underside is reinforced with studs. Patches protect the corners and the handles. The bag is hand-washable only.
Its compact cabin format is designed specifically for travel by airline.

The exhibition “Versailles and the American Revolution” was presented at the Palace of Versailles from 5 July to 2 October 2016, on the occasion of the 240th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. It highlighted the war during which the fate of three countries met : the United States, the United Kingdom and France.

These bags are manufactured by the eco-design company Bilum in workshops specialising in saddlery and luggage. Apart from being sponge cleaned on each side, the exhibition banners received no further processing.
