Travel bag "Models of the imperial navy" - limited series

170,00

This bag is part of a limited series made from banners of the exhibition “Models of the Imperial Navy”. Hand-picked and cut, each piece in this collection is unique.

Made entirely from recycled materials, it has a large outer zipped pocket, a solid inner lining with a semi-rigid bottom and two handles made from safety belts. The underside is reinforced with studs. Leather patches protect the corners and the handles. The bag is hand-washable only.
Its compact cabin format is designed specifically for travel by airline.

The exhibition “Models of the Imperial Navy” was presented in the Cotelle Gallery at the Grand Trianon of the Palace of Versailles from 17 June to 14 September 2014. This exhibition, organised in partnership with the National Navy Museum, was an opportunity for visitors to discover a collection of 16 models, archives, navy objects, etc., and to imagine how each ship was used.

These bags are manufactured by the eco-design company Bilum in workshops specialising in saddlery, leather goods and luggage. Apart from being sponge cleaned on each side, the exhibition banners received no further processing.

You can find in the Online Boutique other models also made from our banners for “Models of the Imperial Navy”.
